Tecsidel provides hardware stores in Madrid with software that will manage 15,000 daily orders

Tecsidel has implemented the new warehouse management system (SEGA WMS), advanced management and control software for warehouses and distribution centers, in the new Getafe Logistics Center of the Madrid Ferreteros Cooperative (COMAFE) to manage more than 15,000 order lines per day, in more than 1,500 stores, through its B2B and e-commerce channels.

Thanks to this alliance, the cooperative provides these new facilities with state-of-the-art logistics technology to respond to the needs of an increasingly demanding market, and to the ambitious objectives of the cooperative’s strategic plan. For its part, Tecsidel expands its client portfolio in the logistics sector, helping market players to achieve maximum efficiency thanks to applied technology.

The new logistics center It has a multishuttle robotic warehouse, with a capacity for 18,500 bins, and which feeds three merchandise-man stations for multi-order preparation, supported by Tecsidel’s put-to-light technology. SEGA’s WCS functionality controls the 40 shuttles that continuously store and extract the stock vats, which travel on an interconnected roller conveyor system to key areas of the infrastructure. In addition, the conveyor system also transports orders to the innovative ‘Digital In Store’ physical store, attached to the logistics center.

This project is one of the largest that Tecsidel has carried out, since the cooperative has a catalog of 55,000 references with stock in the center and the commercialization of the products to more than 1,500 stores, through its B2B and e-commerce channels.

The evolution of demand and the transformation of the role of logistics centers in our country, forces companies to invest in warehouse software capable of solving the challenges faced by the business, which is why we have developed SEGA; as it offers a scalable standard solution, highly parameterizable and extensible. The most advanced industrial software techniques are used so that the maintenance and evolution of the system to the needs of the business are simpler and more robust, in an environment as changing and demanding as the current one”explains Gonzalo Fernández, director of Tecsidel’s logistics systems business.
