Telegram is one of the main applications used in Brazil for exchanging messages due to its numerous features and for valuing the privacy of its users. In the last week, the messenger reached its version 8.7 with some new features.
The update in question was made available Friday (15th) and most features are tied directly to conversations. Check out what’s changed!

Auto-delete with more options
The auto-delete function, as its name suggests, is capable of automatically deleting conversations on Telegram to give the user more privacy. In the new version, the function received more “settings” of time to delete messages.
Not only that, as the video above shows, fewer touches are now needed to activate the function.
Custom sound notifications
Now, with version 8.7, any audio file or voice message sent in a conversation can be turned into a “sound for notifications”. Such sounds can be accessed through the path “Settings > Notifications > Sounds”.
Sounds, it is worth noting, can be a maximum of 5 seconds long and 300 KB in size. Telegram also offers some custom channel sounds. @CustomNotificationSounds.
Custom silence duration
Telegram has always brought options for certain ones to be muted for certain periods of time. Now, in addition to the predetermined periods, users will also be able to mute contacts for a custom period.
Forwarded messages with replies
When forwarding a message that has a reply, all of its content will be forwarded. Previously, only the “final reply” could be viewed by the recipient of the forwarded message.
Bots can replace even websites
Another great novelty in this version of Telegram is that the bots have gained the ability to use JavaScript for their interfaces. Thus, according to the messenger team, Bots may even be able to completely replace websites.
