Microsoft reorganizes its steering committee in Spain

Microsoft has announced changes to its Management Committee, with the appointment of Carolina Castillo as the new Director of Operations and Marketing, replacing Antonio Budia, who had held this position since 2018.

At the same time, Antonio Budia has been appointed as the new director of the Partners division, a position in which he replaces Carolina Castillo, who led this business area since 2019. This movement in the company’s Management Committee will take effect on July 1, coinciding with the start of Microsoft’s new fiscal year.

The changes seek to strengthen Microsoft’s management team in Spain, taking advantage of the experience of both managers in the areas of sales, marketing and operations in different divisions of the company, including partners, SMEs and the consumer market.

Carolina Castillo, new Director of Operations and Marketing

Carolina Castillo becomes head of the Operations and Marketing team with the aim of consolidating the company’s growth in Spain, promoting strategic alliances and sustainable innovation projects in Microsoft’s main clients, both in the public sector and in the business world.

The board of directors assumes this new responsibility after three years as director of the Microsoft Partners division in Spain, a company she joined in 2016 as director of the Consumer Division. Carolina Castillo has extensive experience in the areas of Marketing and Operations in companies such as L’Oreal, where she was head of the perfume division for Spain, and Diageo, where she led the marketing strategy for brands such as J&B and Johnny Walker. for Spain and the Western Europe region. Previously, she worked for McKinsey in the United States, and Procter & Gamble, Ford, and Hewlett-Packard in Venezuela.

Graduated in Electronic Engineering from the Simón Bolívar University of Caracas (Venezuela), she has an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University (Illinois, USA).

Antonio Budia, new director of the Partners division

Antonio Budia becomes the new director of the company’s Partners division in Spain, after four years as Director of Operations and Marketing. Microsoft has an ecosystem of more than 11,000 collaborating companies in our country that develop products, build solutions and offer services based on Microsoft technology. It is a very professional and highly specialized channel that continues to grow and strengthen its capacity to design and offer innovative solutions in the areas of cloud, data, artificial intelligence and security, among others.

Antonio Budia has more than twenty years of experience in the technology industry, having held different positions of responsibility in Microsoft Spain and Latin America, including Marketing, Channel, Microsoft 365 business unit management positions, as director of Sales and Partners, and, more recently, director of Operations and Marketing.

The director is a Computer Engineer from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas – ICAI, has a degree in Marketing from ICADE, an executive degree in Business Marketing Strategy from the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago and a PDG (General Management Program) from IESE .
