The Conjuring: the haunted house that inspired the film is up for sale

If your desire has always been to live in a haunted house, then know that there is a plot of land and a three bedroom house for sale in Rhode Island, and it’s the same house that inspired one of cinema’s most famous horror sagas: The Conjuring.

The house that inspired the case seen in the 2013 horror film is now on sale for a sum of 1.2 million dollars.

According to what was reported by the The Wall Street Journal, homeowners Jenn and Cory Heinzen have now put their three-bedroom, 3,100-square-foot, three-bedroom, 3,100-square-foot home in Harrisville, Rhode Island, and possibly some demonic infestation up for sale.

In recent years, the couple had rented the house to some paranormal investigators, eager to spend the night in the house. An activity that they hope the new buyer can carry on.

The house in question dates back to 1836 but became famous in the 1970s after the Perron family moved there. After the infestation of an alleged paranormal entity, paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren finally arrived, setting the stage for the dramatized events seen in The Conjuring.

Earlier this year, a new documentary, titled The Sleepless Unrest: The Real Conjuring Home, saw a team of modern paranormal investigators staying in the house now for sale and, in a previous interview, the production team revealed some unsavory events they found themselves living through:

“Living in the house for two weeks really messed up the psyche of the whole team”, said a Cinema Blend co-director Kendall Whelpton. “On the third day you start to get tired, on the fourth day you can’t sleep because things are happening, there is a lot of activity in the house. Coming out of the experience, when you come home, you are still thinking that you are inside the house, you are attached to the house. You have an overwhelming sense of going home. It’s a different beast than I’m used to. “
