Two new South Park films are coming later this year

Last August, Parker and Stone signed a $ 900 million deal to continue the South Park series through 2027. Part of the deal included 14 mysterious new movies coming to the Paramount + streaming service and now, talking With the’Hollywood Reporter, we know something more.

The first of these new South Park films, made this time for TV (and not cinema), will be out on November 25th and it will be titled South Park: Post Covid.

The second film will then arrive in December, with two more films arriving in each of the next six years.

In reality, these are not exactly feature films, nor will they be regular South Park episodes. Instead, they will be films lasting about an hour each.

“We’re trying to make what’s on Paramount + different from anything else”Stone said. “So movies made for one-hour TV are where our head is. We will make two TV movies every year. They will be big, but they are not quite on a cinematic scale ”.

“With Viacom, we realized that we could make them as long or as short as we needed”Parker added. “And then they were unveiled and they called them ‘movies’. They are the ones who said we will give him 14 films in seven years. All I can say is that for me, personally, I am 52 years old, I have made three films in my life. So do the math. “
