The expected Arcane, the League of Legends series that will premiere in Netflix, will have a double premiere and we will be able to see the first chapter in Twitch.
Recall that Arcane will premiere worldwide on Netflix on November 6th and it makes perfect sense that this first chapter is also broadcast in what could be called his first home. And it is that Twitch has been and is the venue for true LoL fans, so why couldn’t they see this first chapter on the platform they use the most.
As stated by a Riot spokesperson to The Verge, the first chapter will be available on Twitch for anyone. The series’ premiere on both platforms will coincide with the world premiere event at Riot’s Los Angeles headquarters. As Riot has also stated, this event will be broadcast by influential streamers from 30 countries.
«Our players’ interest in a deeper story was an important part of Arcane’s decision-making, so it was fitting that they could watch the first episode of Arcane as a community.“Explained Brandon Miao, Director and Experience Producer for Riot Experience.
Arcane’s series takes place in the utopian region of Piltover and its underground and downtrodden counterpart, Zaun, recounting the origins of two iconic champions (seemingly centered on the story of Vi and Jinx) and the rise of a power that will forever separate them. . This series was created with the idea of being independent of the games, so that anyone who wants to can see it, regardless of whether they play League or not. It will be made up of three acts, each with three episodes and in addition to Netflix, it can also be seen on Tencent Video in China. The first act with the first three episodes will premiere on November 6 and the following will be on November 13 and 20. In total nine are episodes.
