The first electric rollerblades in the world are French and they are coming soon

A very young Parisian startup has just developed an innovative electric assistance system on rollerblades. Thanks to an algorithm that modulates the power delivered according to the speed of the user, the system is perfectly developed and the first electric skates could thus appear very soon.

Each in turn! While electric car is becoming more and more democratized on the planet (a battery that no longer needs to be recharged is announced) and that the scooters and electric bikes are an integral part of the current urban panorama, the electric roller skates will now also join in the dance.

A very young Parisian startup has just developed an innovative integrated electric assistance system on skates. The idea is very clever and the process is extremely reliable and efficient. The creator, Mohamed Soliman, is a young engineer trained at the University of Technology of Compiègne. His invention is patented and bears the name ofAtmosGear.

A patented invention allows skates to benefit from electric assistance

After scooters, bicycles or even skateboards, rollerblades were still the only “soft” means of transport that still did not benefit from electric assistance. AtmosGear is therefore correcting this and the first electric roller skates from the young Parisian startup could soon be slaloming at high speed on the sidewalks of our cities.

Concretely, this electric skating assistance works in two ways:

  • A simple mode is available and allows the user to manually start the motors with a remote control. Buttons to speed up or slow down are included and the promised autonomy is around 30km.
  • The second way to use this electric skating assistance is inspired by electric bicycles. Thereby, the motor will accompany each impulse given by the leg. This should allow you to go faster, for example, or to climb a steep hill without too much effort.

Note that these electrically assisted rollerblades remain classic rollerblades, and that there is no no stabilizers. It will therefore be up to you to keep your balance well, at the risk of incurring a few falls. AtmosGear has just started a tour of France to make itself known, and crowdfunding financing is in place.
