Jayne carpenter She was a nurse committed to her profession and to her body that she cared for with good nutrition and exercise; however, a cough was complicated that caused him to kill himself for the tragic end he had with the extremities of his body.
Jayne was 53 years old when she suffered the terrible illness that started as a common cough until it became a sepsis, a life-threatening reaction to an infection that occurs when the immune system reacts and begins to damage body tissues.
This reaction caused by sepsis caused Jayne losing both legs and his left arm to the elbow, while a his right hand had four fingers amputated. Following the tragic event, Jayne began a campaign to highlight the dangers of sepsis through her GoFundMe page.
“The surgery will allow me to live the life of a person without disabilities. All the things I loved to do and my independence they were stripped overnight ”, he highlighted on his web portal.
A call preceded the nurse’s farewell
Despite being amputated of legs and arms, Jayne continued with her exercise routine where she liked the dance that she did with her pair of metal prosthetic legs that however, they caused him great pain and infections so he raised funds for a surgery to help with special prosthetics.
On December 7, 2020, Robert, Jayne’s husband received a call from his wife who asked him to pick up the family dog. But when he reached his home in Merthyr Tydfil in Wales, he was met with a terrible scene.
Jayne lay hanging inside her own home. According to Robert, since his wife suffered with sepsis, his health status began to transform until getting to drink more alcohol than normal while gradually he was getting depressed.
Confinement by Covid-19 It further decreased Jayne’s health status, who was unable to do her activities such as dancing and exercising, as well as being used to traveling.
During her sepsis treatment, Jayne had been in a coma for two months and despite having overcome all adversities, the nurse did not show serious signs that worried her family until she decided to take her own life.
