The Sandman: online the first sequences in Italian of the Netflix series

It was a night full of news that of Tudum, the Netflix event for fans that, in addition to offering announcements and news regarding shows such as Cowboy Bebop, The Witcher 3 and Vikings: Valhalla, allowed us to take a first look at The Sandman.

In fact, we can enjoy a preview clip containing the first sequences of the show based on the comic series of DC Comics / Vertigo created by Neil Gaiman in 1989.

What is The Sandman about?

The Sandman follows the stories of the characters and explores the places that are under the influence of Dream (Tom Sturridge), the one who presides and controls the dream realm that mortals visit when they sleep, while the same Dream tries to remedy cosmic errors (and humans) made during its millennial existence.

Plot and cast of the Netflix series

Netflix describes the show as follows:

The Dream Lord was invoked and captured by mere mortals. Once free, the eternal ruler of the dream world will realize that his problems have just begun.

The Sandman is a Netflix production based on the hit comic series created by Neil Gaiman for DC Comics. The executive production of the series is entrusted to Neil Gaiman, Allan Heinberg and David S. Goyer.

The Sandman comic

The original comic series published by DC Comics – Vertigo between 1989 and 1996 was published in Italy by Panini Comis.

In 2013 the miniseries Sandman Overture arrived, prequel to the original comic, while in 2018 the narrative universe Sandman Universe was launched to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of the debut of the series.
