One of the newest products that Apple has launched on the market in the last year has been the Apple Watch Ultra. A product that, of course, has been able to attract the attention of the whole world, either for one thing or another. Well, in this post I want to tell you why I, a user who has had the Apple Watch on my wrist for years, has not changed the Series 7 for the Ultra.
I tried the Apple Watch Ultra and this was my experience
when i say that I do not change my Apple Watch Series 7 for the Ultra I do not do it from the position of a user who has not tried said devicesince fortunately I had the possibility of having this watch on my wrist for approximately two weeks, and the truth is that the experience was really good, highlighting two main points.
The first of them is him designIt is obvious that after many years in which the design of the Apple Watch has changed very slightly, finding a model that breaks with all of the above draws attention, and you really have the feeling of using a different product. On the other hand, Batterywhich is the point that I surely enjoy the most, since with the Apple Watch Ultra I did not have to charge my watch every day.
I also have to mention that it is very convenient to have a customizable button, to which you can assign an action, the one that you consider so that, when pressed, it is carried out without having to do anything else. For the rest of the aspects, my feeling was the same as with the Apple Watch Series 7.
Why haven’t I changed it?
Obviously, the experience I had with the Apple Watch Ultra was very good, and in fact, if I were given the Apple Watch Ultra or the Apple Watch Series 7 or 8, obviously I would choose the Apple Watch Ultra. However, The problem with this watch is its price, which amounts to 999 euros in the Apple Storeand honestly and taking stock, there was nothing I did with the Apple Watch Ultra that I can’t and now can’t do with my Apple Watch Series 7and this I think is what makes the difference.
The Apple Watch Ultra, except in exceptional cases, does not contribute anything to the user that the Apple Watch Series 7 or Series 8 does not already offer. Therefore, unless the design is so different for you, you will not pay the great difference in price that between these two devices. And beware, that does not mean that the Apple Watch Ultra is a bad device, on the contrary, I have already commented that I had a fantastic experience and that I would love to have it in my day-to-day life, but it is clear that for a user like me, the price difference does not compensate for the small details that it adds to the day with respect to models such as the Series 7 or Series 8. Therefore, if today I had to spend the money on an Apple watch, the choice would still be the same, the Apple Watch Series 7 if available and, failing that, the Apple Watch Series 8.
