This will be the first feature with Artificial Intelligence in Windows 11

Microsoft has begun to bet very strongly on Artificial Intelligence. In addition to carrying GPT-4 to your Bing chat to turn it into an intelligent assistant, for some time now we have been reading that the company is working to implement this AI within its flagship system, Windows 11. Now, we already know what the first “intelligent” function will be » that is going to reach the operating system very soon, and we will tell you about it in detail.

We have recently learned that Microsoft is working on a new update for Windows 11 called «Moment 3«. This new update will introduce even more changes and new features to the OS within what is still the 22H2 update of the operating system. But the company is already working on the next big OS update, the 23H2which will reach all users next fall and will undoubtedly mark a very important turning point within the Microsoft ecosystem.

AI is already a reality in Windows 11

The next version of the operating system has already introduced what will be its first smart feature: SmartSnap. This new feature promises to make use of Artificial Intelligence to change the way the system’s multitasking assistant works.

Right now, we can automatically arrange windows based on a series of screen aspect ratios so we can have up to 4 windows open at the same time. We simply have to place the mouse cursor over the maximize window icon to see the different options and choose how to organize the open windows. Once the first window is placed, an assistant appears that allows us to choose which window, or windows, we want to place in the remaining holes.

From now on, this function will be driven by AI, which means that it will be the system itself that, based on our use and our preferences, will choose the organization that best suits us. This AI will be able to learn from the user’s own configuration in order to know, and remember, the users’ screen configurations. In addition to allowing us to place the windows that you consider most important, it will also allow us to adjust sizes for each program so that we do not lose information or waste screen space.

When will it be available

At the moment, the AI begins to make its first appearances within the Insider builds of Windows 11. Therefore, users who are using the stable channel of the operating system will still have to wait before being able to use these new OS features.

If all goes well, Microsoft should massively implement AI in the system starting with Windows 11 23H2, the free update that will reach all users next fall. Also, apart from this AI-based multitasking, many other features, based on Artificial Intelligence, will also come to the operating system. But, for now, we do not know what will be the next areas where it will be implemented. we, since SoftZone, we think the next item where the AI will arrive will be in the taskbar, but that is nothing more than mere speculation.
