The Twitter Member @chunvn8888 posted a more than concise message in which one can read: Z Fold/Flip 5 IP58 “. If what he says is true, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 will not only be “submersible beyond 1 m under the conditions specified by the manufacturer in duration and pressure” (the 8 in IP 58), but also ” protected against dust and other microscopic residues (the 5 in the protection index).

Despite the stress exerted every day on the hinge of these devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 should therefore remain hermetically sealed, without water or dust being able to infiltrate the ugly crease that often appears on the screen of this type of device.
