League of Legends, better known as LOL, is one of the oldest games in the video game industry, a title that has been able to adapt to continue maintaining the interest of the large user community that regularly plays this video game title. Riot, a title that, in a few days, will receive a new game mode called 2v2v2v2.
This game mode will come hand in hand with the Soul Fighter event, and initially it will only be available temporarily, although according to the developers, if it is as successful as they hope, it could return in the future to stay permanently.
How LOL’s 2v2v2v2 mode works
Arena 2v2v2v2 mode consists of 8-player battles in groups of 2, so 4 teams of 2 players each face each other. During the fights, we will receive increases and unique objects. This game mode has two phases that remind us of games like CS:GO or Valorant, where we have a purchase phase and a fight phase.
During the purchase phase Shown at the end of each, players receive offers of boosts and gold with which to purchase items. Once the purchase phase is over, we move to the combat zone that will take place on 3 different maps, where the teams will fight 2 on 2 teams. in the same team no two champions can be the sameso it is recommended to play with a friend, although we can also play with other users if we don’t have someone to enjoy this new game mode with.
At the end of the next round, we can face again with the same team or with the other 2 that are part of this game mode. The teams have 20 life points. Each defeat subtracts 2 points and we win the match by defeating the two enemies of the opposing team.
If we lose all the points, we are eliminated and there are 3 teams left in the game, one of these will go to the waiting phase while the other combat ends. The maximum duration of the games, according to Riot, is 15 minutes, although some games can be very fast and end in less than 10 minutes.
This new game mode, even if it is temporary (it will only be available for 6 weeks) will have a ranking system. The lowest rank will be Wood, while Gladiator will be the highest of all.
When will it be available
For now, to be able to enjoy this game mode, we will have to wait a few more days, specifically until July 20. Although some LOL streamers have been enjoying this new game mode for several days, it is not yet available to everyone.
