What news will we find in Minecraft 1.19?

Just as we expected Mojang has already published the first release candidate minecraft 1.19. We already told you, a few days ago, that the scheduled date The Minecraft 1.19 release date is next June 7th, Tuesday of next week, which tells us that both what we saw in the last pre-release and what we find in this definitive version candidate is practically the same , in any case with minor adjustments and optimizations. In other words, the news of Minecraft 1.19 are already completely closed, so it is time to review them.

As we have already mentioned on previous occasions, Minecraft 1.19 comes to complete (almost, there is still something pending) what was initially going to be Minecraft 1.17 Caves & Cliffs. Now, if we review everything that we were promised for Minecraft 1.19 at Minecraft Live last October, we see that once again there are some pending points.

This reminds me of a conversation I had a few days ago with a reader, about the promises of the latest versions, and that Mojang maybe I should take my foot off the gas when it comes to news announcements and instead focus on completing all the points that we have been promised at some point but, for whatever reason, have not yet received, and will not see in Minecraft 1.19.

Thus, by memory, twe still have archeology, copper horns, fireflies, the renovation of several biomes, changes and improvements in combat mechanics still pending… as you can see the list is extensive, and some of these novelties we can understand that they are associated with a lot, a lot of work, so it is understandable that Mojang has to take its time to develop them. The problem is that, perhaps, the great plans should be rethought version after version.

What news will we find in Minecraft 1.19?

except surprises, the announcement of the news of Minecraft 1.20 will arrive next October, with the celebration of this year’s Minecraft Live. And I know it’s not a popular opinion, but since Mojang comes to Minecraft 1.19 with a good to-do list, I think the most sensible thing would be to announce that the next version will add some of the pending news. Obviously it is not something as flashy as promised with previous versions, but nevertheless it would serve to reduce some pressure on the development team and to fulfill what was promised.

Some time ago, when it was announced that the Caves & Cliffs Update was split into two parts to avoid crunching, I did not hesitate for a second to positively assess Mojang’s decision. I am totally against this type of practice and it seems sensational to me that the study puts the health of its team before a date and a list. Now, continuing to pinch your fingers with promises that ultimately cannot be fulfilled seems like a mistake to me.

If Mohang can solve the to-do list in Minecraft 1.20, great, what do they have to distribute between 1.20 and 1.21? also looks good to me. Now, I hope you don’t prefer to promise a new big update that, in the end, stays half done and also prevents you from catching up on everything pending.

Be careful, with this I do not mean that Minecraft 1.19 is a weak update. Not much less, cIt has many more new features than, for example, Minecraft 1.17, which did fall a bit short, especially when compared to the spectacular redesign of the Nether in Minecraft 1.16. I’m looking forward to next Tuesday to be able to enjoy the final version of Minecraft 1.19, what I’m suggesting is that I hope Mojang will take it more calmly in announcing the next versions.

What’s New in Minecraft 1.19

Anyway, after this reflection on what, personally, I expect from Minecraft 1.20, and what I think would help Mojang to take enormous pressure off himself, let’s review what we will find in Minecraft 1.19and that we have already been able to see with the snapshots published in recent months.

The great novelty of Minecraft 1.19 is, without a doubt, the Deep Dark, the new underground biome that we can only find between layers 0 and -64, which as you will remember debuted in the previous update, and it is not by chance, because in principle both things were going to arrive together. By itself it is already an incentive to explore the bowels of the earth, but in addition, in it, we will find two novelties that we have been waiting for a long time: the ancient cities and the Warden.

We were able to see both elements, for the first time, in the experimental snapshot of Minecraft 1.19 published by Mojang in the middle of February. Since then there have been some changes, but its base remains the same. Exploring the ancient cities is a task that we will have to carry out in the most stealthy way possible, and in return, it will not only show us a spectacular environment, it will also allow us to get some unique items and, incidentally, let our imaginations run wild. origin of those places and those frames like the whole aspect of the world of being portals, currently inactive.

The reason to be silent is found, of course, in the Warden, the most dangerous mob of all those seen so far in Minecraft. So much so that, if we face him without protection, he can kill us with a single blow, and even if we are protected with a netherite armor with extra resistance, a few blows will also kill us. Without a doubt, exploring the lowest layers of the subsoil in search of diamonds has become more complicated than ever in Minecraft 1.19.

In the underground cities of Minecraft 1.19 we will also find the expected Skulk blocksresponsible for the invocation of the Warden, but that we can also use in our creations with redstone, since the sensors will be able to activate/deactivate mechanisms detected remotely.

Another important novelty is found in a new biome, the mangroves. As its name indicates, they are very humid areas, similar to swamps, and with trees that sprout from the ground below said aquatic mass. From his hand, in addition, also comes the mud, which we can collect in said biome, but which we can also generate with earth and water (in a jar). We will also find a new type of tree and wood, the mangrove, with which we can craft versions of traditional wooden items adapted to this new material.

Also, with minecraft 1.19, the ally arrives, a new mobthis friendly, whom we will have to rescue from his captivity, and who from that moment will always travel with us, and will collect the type of blocks dropped that we indicate. In addition, through proper training, you will be able to manage them in the way we indicate.

And let’s not forget about the frogs and, from his hand, also the tadpoles and a new type of light block called Froglitht. The most interesting thing with them, however, is that they can eat small slimes and, after doing so, drop a ball of slime. In other words, if we find a chunk that spawns slimes and bring a few frogs, we can create a slime farm.

And a novelty of Minecraft 1.19 that, personally, seems to me to be a great success, and of which I already spoke a few months ago: the boat with a chest, a boat with a single seat for one player, since the back is occupied, as you may have already deduced, by a chest. This new boat modality is terribly practical when you start exploring the map, and even more so if you do it alone, because as a general rule in these circumstances it is common to end up with a full inventory quickly.

There are not a few, as you can see, the novelties of Minecraft 1.19. Personally, I already said it before, I’m looking forward to playing it, how about you?
