The 4K video of a 70s sci-fi movie available on YouTube is accused of bugging Google’s Pixel 7, Pixel 6 and Pixel 6a.

According to them, a video on YouTube would be the source of the problem.
Nearly 400 Reddit members have shared their very strange experience. Watching a very particular video in the YouTube app for Android reboots their smartphone. Most movie buffs will immediately recognize a scene from “Alien” by Ridley Scott. This clip, reworked in 4K, started doing trip the Pixel 7, then the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6a.

This unexpected shutdown and restart apparently does not damage the Pixel 7, but in addition to being annoying, it causes the loss of device connectivity, which forces you to restart the system for the umpteenth time. Why does this bug only affect Google smartphones? No one knows, but according to WccfTech, neither the Galaxy S23 nor the Samsung Galaxy A52 suffer from this problem. Obviously, the root of the problem is somewhere in YouTube’s code.
