The time is getting closer and closer when the fourth season of stranger things will arrive on Netflix, at least the first batch of chapters because the Americans have decided to split it in two, as they have already done in the cases of The Money Heist, Ozark and many other of his fictions. The friendship between Steve and Robin
One of the most remarkable aspects of the third season was the relationship between the characters of Steve and Robin. Although they start out as little more than co-workers, as the plot progresses these they get closer and closer, until they reach the bathroom scene. Throughout the series we were given to understand that Robin in high school was in love with Steve, since she herself says that in class she couldn’t stop looking at him, so our favorite hero ends up falling in love with her only to reveal in the penultimate episode that the reason why she couldn’t stop watching him is because the girl she liked had a crush on the hunk. There blossoms a great friendship that promises to be very relevant in the new season.
Billy’s Sacrifice
Throughout the season the character of Billy, Max’s brother, had served as a henchman of the great villain, the Mind Flayer, so we did not fully empathize with him. However and through Eleven’s powers, we discover his past full of abuse and pain. This factor makes the moment when, after freeing himself from the villain’s control, he sacrifices himself for our protagonists even more painful.
Eleven breaks up with Mike
As the seasons progress our child protagonists cease to be, entering adolescence and, eventually, adulthood, so they start romantic relationships. Although Mike and Eleven are shown as a happy couple at the beginning of the series, Eleven soon begins to get fed up and, after a shopping session with Max, decides to break up with him thus causing a sense of tension to occur throughout the remainder of the season.
Death? Hopper’s
During the series finale, Joyce and Hopper infiltrate the Russian military base to try and take down the machine that is causing the Mind Flayer to continue its reign of terror. When they manage to find it, the soldiers find them so Joyce decides to buy some time while Hopper destroys the machine. Hopper locks himself in the hulk room and, although he manages to overload it, it’s too late to run away, so you decide to stay, starring in what is probably the saddest scene of the entire series.
The farewell
After defeating the villain, Joyce becomes Eleven’s guardian. The Byers decide to move away from Hawkins and start fresh, so our cast splits up, with Mike, Lucas, Dustin, and Max staying back home and Eleven and Will leaving. Now we just have to wait to see what excuse they put in the new season so that our heroes return to their old ways. Each one from a different place?
