Windows 10 21H2 will be out of support very soon

Microsoft has published a reminder indicating that Windows 10 21H2 has entered its final stretch of support, and that said version of its well-known operating system will be unsupported as of June 13th of this same year. Once it reaches its end of support, it will no longer receive new security patches, nor will it have new updates that resolve critical bugs and bugs.

To avoid problems, Microsoft will “force” the 22H2 update on those computers that continue to use Windows 10 21H2 after it reaches the end of its life cycle. This is understandable, but it can end up being dangerous if the installation of said update is forced on computers that have some component that could cause compatibility or stability problems. It would not be the first time that an update is forced on a computer with compatibility issues.

If we continue using Windows 10 21H2 nothing will happen, At least in the short term. The operating system will continue to function normally and we should not encounter any serious security problems. What is not recommended is to maintain a version that has been left without support for many years.

Microsoft will remind us that we must update, and it seems that it will also take advantage of this moment to recommend the update to Windows 11 again. On this subject, you must be careful because even if your computer meets the requirements of said operating system the result you get may not be as good as you expected. In this sense, it is important to be clear about what we have already told you before, that Windows 11 is more demanding than Windows 10, and that meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee a good user experience.

If you have a PC with 4 GB of RAM, I directly recommend that you continue with Windows 10. In case you have a PC configured with 8 GB of RAM, the experience will improve but it will continue to be better with Windows 10, especially if you have a more limited CPU in terms of raw power.
