Good news for Xiaomi fans, the Poco series of smartphones will soon be entitled to a brand new feature: wireless charging. The Poco F5 Pro will be the first device to qualify.
We have known a good part of the technical sheet of the next Poco F5 Pro for several months now. First of all, we know that the smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, which was found in high-end devices last year, and which will arrive in certain mid-range this year, including the Nothing Phone (2). He will even be entitled to a QHD+ screen, which is unusual for this type of device.
In addition to being the most powerful smartphone ever designed by Poco, the Poco F5 Pro will have one major feature: it will be the brand’s first device to use fast wireless charging. If its battery could already be recharged at 67W by wire, you would also be entitled to fast wireless charging at 30W.
Wireless charging of the Poco F5 Pro promises to be fast
As confirmed by Xiaomi on social networks ahead of the launch of the smartphone, the Poco F5 Pro will be able to be recharged wirelessly at 30W, which is much more than most compatible devices in its segment. We know for example that the next Pixel 7a, which will cost no less than 509 euros, will have to be satisfied with a meager wireless recharge of only 5W.
As for the Nothing Phone (2), we don’t know much about its technical data sheet, but its predecessor was 15W compatible. It is twice less than Xiaomi, and for the moment nothing says that Carl Pei’s company will improve this aspect of the smartphone. What is certain is that the Poco F5 Pro promises to be more versatile than ever thanks to this new feature.
The Poco F5 will likely be very popular with fans thanks to its Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor, which is probably one of the most interesting chips of the year, but those who want wireless charging can at least pass on the most expensive model. We remind you that the Poco F5 and F5 Pro will be officially presented on May 9, so we will soon know everything about them.
