Iñigo Torroba, CEO of Civislend explains, “It is not about allocating a large capital to investment but a percentage of income that starts from a small recurring monthly effort to make the capital profitable and to be able to diversify.

And it is that as they explain from Civislend, the new generations have a greater awareness about the need to have a better financial education. Aware of the difficulty in saving, alternative investments are sought in which to contribute small amounts that allow profitability with the greatest guarantees, observing a return in a shorter period of time.

According to the data from the crowdlending platform, today 65% of young people under 30 are willing to invest but in assets or projects that ensures profitability and offers them a guarantee. Since the stock market currently generates a lot of volatility and uncertainty, they are looking for alternative investment formulas in which they can allocate their savings.

Real estate the biggest attraction

In this context, the real estate sector is the most attractive sector for most investors looking for a way to make their savings profitable. However, given the current difficult economic situation and the tightening of banking conditions to access the purchase of a home as an investment, today according to data from Civislend, only 2 out of 5 young people under 30 years of age could access it.

For this reason, alternative investments such as those proposed by the crowdlending platform have been growing in number of projects and investors in recent months.

«During the first 5 months of 2023 we have financed the same number of projects as during all of 2022. This implies exponential growth and demonstrates the investor appetite for this type of product»Torroba explains.

He crowdlending It has democratized real estate investment and it is growing in Spain because it is a way to access the benefits of a real estate investment without having to buy a home, something that was previously only reserved for institutional investors.

«With an investment from €250 you can obtain a return of up to 12%, while the purchase of a property offers 4% – 6%%. In addition, the investor avoids all bank procedures and of course the subsequent management of the property. It only focuses on the capital contribution and the subsequent profitability«, explains Iñigo Torroba.
