Over the last few weeks we have been able to verify that Netflix Finally, the blocking when sharing accounts on its platform has been taken very seriously. Millions of users around the world have not liked this in the slightest, and even less the alternatives that the company offers us.
This type of restrictions and blocks that many of Netflix subscribers have been carrying out for years has spread to the entire globe. Those who shared their platform account video streaming with other users outside the home, they have had to change their plans. With this type of movement, what the leisure giant intends is to increase its customer share in the medium or long term.
From their point of view and as they have told us on many occasions, a Netflix account is for use in a single household. In turn, its members will be able to view content from that account anywhere. But at the same time, something that sounds a bit contradictory, Netflix also places restrictions on everything that refers to simultaneous access to this video content. The truth is that at least initially, these restrictions and blocks are causing many users to cancel their accounts.
At the moment we have a wide range of alternatives in the form of platforms streaming video to choose from. In addition, most of them currently offer us more interesting and affordable subscription prices than what Netflix offers us.
Netflix loses customers due to its high prices
Hence precisely the migration that millions are carrying out at this moment after the decision of the top managers of the big N platform. To all this we can add that, even if we are in the same home, the simultaneous reproduction of content is not possible in principle either. This is another serious restriction that the platform subscribers despite not sharing your account with the outside.
To solve this, one of the alternatives that the company proposes is to pay an extra for each member with whom we want to share an account outside the home. This additional user will be able to enjoy their Netflix account and will have their own password to access the service. However, payment will be made by the original owner who sent the invitation. But the most striking of all this is that the cost per user that we invite our account to use it outside the home is still exaggerated.
It must be taken into account that the cost of this additional user that we can invite to our account is 5.99 euros per month. If we take into account that, for example, the individual subscription with advertisements is 5.49 euros per monthwithout a doubt the price of this additional user is still too high.
More so if we take into account that with the passing of the weeks the subscription with ads is gaining followers, which has largely offset the losses caused by the blocking when sharing accounts. Perhaps those responsible for the platform have to reconsider this cost per additional user if they want the plan to be successful.
