The GEEKOM AS 6 is a new mini-PC created in collaboration with ASUS, which uses an AMD hardware base to outperform the Intel NUC 13 Pro, the latest compact computer from the chip giant and benchmark in this segment.
We love Mini-PCs and no wonder they are the best-selling form factors in desktop computers. We have the proof in the news that comes to us week after week. The one we bring you today is high-flying, one of the highest-performance integrated graphics configurations we’ve seen so far, “which makes it the best option for games and the office of the future”, as highlighted in their ad.
The GEEKOM AS 6 has been created by the integrator in collaboration with ASUS and in fact includes functions with ASUS Enhanced Software and MyASUS management application, including among other functions fan control Smart Fan and its modes performance and Quiet to balance noise and performance needed to keep temperatures under control.
The integrator bets on AMD as opposed to the Intel hardware of the most powerful NUCs that it targets. And for this it includes processors such as the Ryzen 9 6900HX 8 cores and 16 threads, along with graphics Radeon 680M higher performance than Intel’s iGPUs Iris. The rest of the main specifications maintain the high level, such as the LPDDR5 memory that it equips and the double M.2 PCIe 4.0 solid-state drive of up to 2 Tbytes.
The AS 6 supports the latest wireless connectivity standards, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, and also the peripheral connection standard, USB4. It has two HDMI 2.1 video outputs and a DisplayPort 1.4 port, topped with another five USB ports and those related to audio.
Preinstall Windows 11 and promise “an elite experience for gaming, office work and other scenarios”. We need to know its sale price to place it, but it looks very good to succeed in the high-end of compact computers with integrated graphics.
