Brother consolidates its business in Iberia and aims for more

Brother’s business in Iberia is going from strength to strength. His channel strategy and his leadership in the laser market have made him grow close to 14% in the first quarter of the year and reach a business of 81 million euros. These results coincide with the record shares that Brother has achieved during 2022 in the laser printing market, where it was positioned as a leader in the category of professional laser equipment (with duplex functionality and network card) with a 42% share. If we look at the new data from the beginning of the year, the laser printing market grows by 7.3%, with Brother managing to gain a 33.5% share in the A4 laser segment, thus maintaining its trend bullish.

Carlos Hernandez, CEO of Brother Iberia commented in this regard: “these results show that our strategy is the right one, since we are growing in a very competitive environment. A rhythm that it wants to continue to maintain thanks to its commitment to verticals and new opportunities such as professional labeling or the SOHO market where it hopes to strengthen its presence with value proposals for the digital transformation of companies.

A battery of new products

Brother is facing a strong year in terms of product innovations, with a forecast of launching more than 40 units between lasers (monochrome and color) and scanners in 2023, in order to strengthen its position in the digitization market. and printing in a professional environment and in managed print services, without forgetting the different vertical sectors.

Another aspect that Brother will continue to promote is sustainability. His initiatives around the ecircular economy and CO2 reduction will continue to be strengthened, as well as its toner remanufacturing program, which in 2022 allowed it to avoid more than 34.4 tons of CO2 in Spain and Portugal, thanks to the participation of 357 distributors in Iberia who returned a total of 20,828 used toners.
