Canon renews its imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX range

The Canon Europe division has just announced a update of its range of multifunction and monofunction equipment imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX, a move that marks a significant expansion of its portfolio of printing solutions that brings enhanced security features, lower power consumption, and reduced Styrofoam waste in packaging.

These new printers are designed to meet the changing needs of businessesand they also have collaboration tools that are key for hybrid work, a modality that has been strongly established in many companies after the end of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to Canon, the renewal of the range is designed to reduce the environmental impact through keys as important as a reduction of electricity consumption by 16%, and also through a longer useful life. Devices and parts are built to last longer, maximizing uptime, reducing service calls and reducing environmental impact.

These new printers of Canon have functions of protection for the data, the network and the own devices, what guarantees the security in all the phases of the cycle of life of the documents. The most advanced version of security firmware offers end-to-end protection, and both ranges support encrypted file sharing, with TLS1.3, WPA3 and SMB 3.1.1 support. Canon has also confirmed other important developments, such as two-factor authentication and stricter password rules that ensure greater protection. Both ranges can lean on utility Security Settings Navigator, that allows users to apply the optimal configuration needed for different network environments, without the need to resort to a security specialist.

As for hybrid work, the new Canon printers have the uniFLOW Online print management software. This cloud solution facilitates collaborative work and simplifies and improves the productivity of workers in hybrid environments, since the entire printing environment can be managed through the cloud, which also allows access control and improves the security of the documents. The imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX 8900 series also offers a wide range of finishing options, which translates into increased productivity.
