The American giant has presented the Corsair iCUE ELITE CPU LCD Display, a screen that is integrated in the new generation of Corsair liquid cooling kits, which represents an important advance compared to the previous generation, both in terms of performance and customization. and it is that, thanks to that 2.1 inch screen integrated into the pump, we will enjoy a world of possibilities.
The Corsair iCUE ELITE CPU LCD Display is, as we anticipated, a 2.1-inch screen built into the pump of a liquid cooling kit. This screen has a superb quality, since it uses a IPS type panel, runs at 30 frames per second, has a resolution of 480 x 480 pixels, a maximum brightness of 600 cd per square meter, and a 24-bit color depth. Interesting, right? And it is also fully customizable.
All of the above means that we can use that screen to represent from a simple temperature measurement, which will oscillate in real time, up to GIFs and images with different types of effects. Thanks to its compatibility with iCUE, the configuration process will be very simple, and it will integrate perfectly with all the Corsair peripherals and components that we have.
If you recently bought a Corsair iCUE Elite Capellix Liquid Cooling Kit, and you really liked the Corsair iCUE ELITE CPU LCD Display, don’t worry, you won’t have to buy a new liquid cooling kit to enjoy it. Corsair has confirmed that it will offer this screen individually, that is, as an upgrade kit, which means that we can easily attach it to the liquid cooling kit that we are using. On the official website it says that the installation process is very simple, since it is done with four magnets. Hydro Series kits would not be compatible.
Corsair iCUE ELITE CPU LCD Display: Standard on the new Corsair iCUE HXXi Elite LCD series
The new series of liquid cooling solutions presented by Corsair consists of a total of three different models: Corsair iCUE H170i Elite LCD, which integrates a 420mm radiator and three 140mm fans from the new Corsair ML RGB ELITE series; Corsair iCUE H150i Elite LCD, which uses a 360mm radiator and comes with three 120mm fans, also from the new Corsair ML RGB ELITE series; and the Corsair iCUE H100i Elite LCD, which has a 240mm radiator and two 120mm fans from the Corsair ML RGB ELITE series.
If we want to buy the Corsair iCUE ELITE CPU LCD Display and the Corsair ML RGB ELITE fans we can do it without any problem. The latter will also be available separately, and in 120 mm and 140 mm versions, both in black and white. The latter is very important for those who take maximum care of the aesthetics of their PC, and who want to maintain a white or black tonality.
These fans use the technology Corsair AirGuide to maximize airflow, and they feature magnetic levitation bearings to reduce noise and maximize efficiency. The 120mm models have a spindle speed between 450 RPM and 2,000 RPM, while the 140mm models can work in swaths between 400 RPM and 1,600 RPM. Corsair has also confirmed that we can buy them in packs and with different accessories, including the iCUE Lightning Node Core.
The Corsair iCUE H170i Elite LCD is already listed on the official Corsair website with a recommended price of 316.90 euros. The Corsair iCUE H150i Elite LCD and Corsair iCUE H100i Elite LCD have also been listed, and are priced at € 293.90 and € 257.90, respectively, although at the time of writing this article indicated that there was still no stock available in Spain. They include an iCUE Commander Core, are compatible with all current sockets, and come prepared to integrate seamlessly with the LGA1700 socket which, as we know, will use Intel Alder Lake-S processors.
