MuyPymes: You have launched Flexible Fiber connectivity solutions with an innovative touch. Tell us what this tool consists of and how Gigas is marketing it.

Big Head Diego: Fibra Flexible is a pioneering connectivity solution in the Spanish market, which allows customers to expand the bandwidth of their fiber connection (that is, its speed) when they need it and for as long as they need, paying for that increase. of speed, as “pay per use”. Gigas was born offering cloud services, in which flexibility and this type of payment are natural and fundamental characteristics of this type of service, so we thought: why don’t telecommunications operators offer this flexibility to their customers and allow them to pay only for what they need?

It’s a matter of thinking about your needs, rather than maximizing revenue. So we got to work to make it possible and we have just launched the first Flexible Fiber service in the Iberian market, and I dare say, in Europe, which allows customers to contract a fiber with a low speed and limited cost, and then increase that speed when necessary, paying per use.

With Flexible Fiber, if for example you have to make a backup or a restore of a copy to or from the cloud, you can extend your bandwidth as long as necessary and return to the base bandwidth, automatically, once the update is complete. copy, without worrying about paying more. Thus, and from just one euro cent per hour for every 100Mbps extended, companies and their systems and IT departments can enjoy the advantages of the fastest fiber at the price of the cheapest fiber. In Portugal, we offer fiber speeds of up to 10 Gbps, the fastest in the market, and our customers can subscribe to a 300Mbps fiber and then enjoy speeds up to 30 times higher paying per use.

At Gigas we market this product individually, but also associated with those products in which the synergies are clear, such as Backup services, Disaster&Recovery, servers used to carry out specific campaigns, development environments that are uploaded to production, etc.

MuyPymes: Flexibility is one of the values ​​most demanded by SMEs, attributed not only to technology, but also to their ICT providers. How does Gigas solve this need?

Big Head Diego: As I mentioned before, the fact that we are a cloud-native company allows us to offer innovative telecommunications servicespioneers in the market that transfer the inherent flexibility of the cloud to the world of telecommunications.

We create flexible cloud solutions capable of unlimited growth in computing, storage and capacity, but if we are not able to transfer it to our clients’ premises and, in turn, to their clients quickly, all that computing power and storage makes no sense.
