DJI Mavic 3 Cine: the new drone arrives with a dual camera

The design of DJI drones is evolving as new versions are released, but for some years now they have maintained that idea of foldable drone that he liked so much from his first proposal. Because, among some other advantages, the best thing about it is that they are much more comfortable to transport.

For the rest, in essence it is very similar to previous models, although logically there are changes that seem to be more focused on the relocation of the new internal hardware with which it will arrive and also new batteries that would give the device a longer flight time.

Of course, the most striking thing would once again be the camera that DJI would integrate here. Because not only is it somewhat larger in terms of dimensions compared to the Mavic 2, it is also somewhat different by including two sensors instead of one.

The first dual camera drone

The DJI Mavic 3 Cine looks like it will be the brand’s first drone with a dual camera system. Yes, something similar to what we are used to seeing on mobile devices. And it is that DJI would introduce in the camera module a set with two sensors and two different lenses.

According to rumors the scheme of the camera would be the following. In the first place we would have a wide-angle camera that would be the main one and signed by Hasselblad that would have a larger sensor to give a higher quality to the capture of still and moving images. On the other hand, we would have a second camera with a telephoto lens.

I mean, it would be like merging the Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom into a single drone. Of course, it seems that here too there would be some difference between the models that could be sold. Because there would be a model that would bet more on those cinema capabilities and it would come with improvements such as greater storage capacity (it would go from 8 GB of internal memory to 1 TB) and possibility to record video in ProRes format (hence the terabyte of capacity).

New remote control and accessories

Finally, the new DJI Mavic 3 Cine would arrive with a control knob similar to the ones we have already seen. There would be some physical modification and most importantly: new connectors. And it seems that it will include USB C and HDMI mini connector on the bottom.

These two connectors and their position seem like they would make a lot of sense for use with first person glasses like the DJI FPV and its goggles. Of course, it is sure that it could also be used for other types of uses, especially if with that Cinema they want the drone to be used in other fields where until now the DJI Inspire 2 was the main protagonist.

DJI Mavic 3 Cine, features

With all this, a review of the list of features that have been leaked and we could already consider it safe. Although, as always, until DJI posts them on their official website, we will always treat them as rumors and leaks.

Technical specifications DJI Mavic 3:

When the DJI Mavic 3 Cine will be released

Well, according to DJI’s new release schedule, the DJI Mavic 3 Cine will launch in November. On the 5th of next month is when the Chinese manufacturer would officially unveil this new drone that would complete a very attractive proposal for any content creator.
