FIFA Mobile introduces a big update, what’s new?

EA is updating its FIFA Mobile title with content enhancements that bring the game “into a new era”.

Launched in 2016, FIFA Mobile is the simplified version of the football game franchise, whose latest installment, FIFA 22, was released last October. Visibly inspired by the new generation of consoles, and therefore the technologies used in FIFA 22, EA has decided to offer a major update to its mobile title, bringing improvements in many areas.

This goes through gameplay, visuals or even audio, which should propel FIFA Mobile in “a new era”. The studio’s enthusiasm is such that Lawrence Koh, head of EA SPORTS FIFA Mobile, said:

Today marks the beginning of the future for FIFA Mobile, which gives tens of millions of players around the world a revolutionary football experience and the flexibility to enjoy the game on a very wide range of device generations. We couldn’t be more excited for veterans and new generations of players to join the game for years to come”

What are these improvements?

First of all, players will be able to enjoy a better visual quality, thanks to a reworked game engine. This allows for greater visual fidelity with footballer models. The studio also ensures that on the most powerful smartphones, you will be able to enjoy the game in 60 fps. This will allow you an unprecedented fluidity, which is very practical in part.

Audio commentary will also be coming with this update, as players have been asking for for many years. EA explains that:

Commentary will be available in 11 languages, including English, Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Italian, German, Dutch, Arabic. Mandarin and Japanese, live from legend commentators around the world.”

For greater immersion, the studio is also adding new fan chants, stadium announcements and player chat, which can be heard at any time during a match. Finally, EA is directly attacking the gameplay part by offering more control options, whether before a match or during it. You can thus better manage your team as you see fit with regard to the movement of players, or even substitutions.

The update should already be available for all users on iOS and Android, free of charge, just like the base game FIFA Mobile.
