Chrome has been threatening to leave old Windows users behind for some time now, and we’ve been wondering when Google will drop compatibility with Windows 7 since Microsoft ended general support in 2020. The American company has finally officially announced the end of support with the upcoming release of version Chrome 110 of its Internet browser.
According to Google, Chrome will no longer support Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 when Chrome 110 is released. whose stable version is currently scheduled for February 7, 2023. If you are using Google Chrome as a browser on an older version of the operating system, you will therefore no longer have access to new versions from this date.

It will therefore still be possible to use Google Chrome after the end of support, but the browser will no longer be updated.
