Succession, The White Lotus and The Last of Us accumulate 74 nominations

succession is the queen in this case with 27 candidacies. The fourth and final season has been the perfect climax to a series that has gone down in history as one of the best. It is not surprising that it is therefore up for drama series of the year, leading actress (for Sarah Snook), leading actor (for Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong and Kieran Culkin) or supporting actress, among many other distinctions.
As to The Last of Us, sneaks in with 24 nominations, proving once again that HBO’s adaptation of the famous video game has completely hit the bull’s-eye. His nominations include drama series, lead actress (for the young Bella Ramsey) and lead actor (for Pedro Pascal). It has been a real joy to also find Murray Bartlett and Nick Offerman, who starred in the mythical episode 3 that generated so much controversy for the simple fact of showing a (beautiful) love relationship between two men.
Last but not least, we have The White Lotus and its particular and hypnotic second season. Apple TV + also takes its slice of pie
The other big winner, without a doubt, is Apple TV + with ted lasso. His famous series about the coach of an English soccer team opts for 22 awardsa fantastic way to close a beautiful stage.

This is because its last season was divided into two, with the second airing in July 2022, with which it was already included in the candidacy for the 2023 Emmys. Many pointed out that this edition would be the one that would do justice finally with the prequel series of breaking bada fantastic drama wonderfully acted by Bob Odenkirk and Rhea Seehorn that has never won a statuette.
The problem is that now we have as a rival The Last of Us or the last season of Succession, so things get quite complicated for the AMC series. We will see.
