IBM Consulting launches Center of Excellence for Generative AI

IBM Consulting has created the Center of Excellence for Generative AI, CoEwhich starts with more than a thousand consultants with experience in generative AI. His mission will be to work globally with his clients to boost productivity in IT, as well as business processes such as Human Resources or marketing. Also improve the customer experience and collaborate in the creation of new business models.

The CoE stands ready to help accelerate the business transformation of IBM Consulting clients, supported by enterprise AI and platforms such as watsonx. Over the years, IBM Consulting has worked thanks to this center with more than a hundred clients, in addition to carrying out dozens of projects with generative AI and classic machine learning AI strategies as a base.

In the first works with foundational models, IBM Consulting has detected that some of its clients accelerated their processes up to 70% in terms of time to value creation with foundational models with respect to traditional AI approaches.

The CoE will use the full range of generative AI technology, including foundational models, as well as more than 50 specific classical machine learning accelerators. In addition, IBM Consulting will also use IBM’s AI advisor suite of tools to improve its internal operations and client delivery. In parallel, at the CoE they will be in charge of developing solutions and assets with clients and partners, supported by IBM Research innovations in generative AI.

With IVM Garage for Generative AI, IBM consultants will apply a collaborative approach to facilitate innovation in basic models for generative AI. This includes agile generation and prioritization of use cases, an open, multi-model approach to choosing architectures and training, and adjusting and extending models for business needs.

Besides, IBM Consulting plans to develop a focus area focused on watsonx to offer clients expertise in generative AI technologies, as well as foundational models, AIOps, DataOps, and Artificial Intelligence governance mechanisms.
