Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 3i, an affordable Chrome OS convertible with interesting news

The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 3i is another of the products announced by the Chinese firm for deployment at CES 2023. And staff looking for an inexpensive convertible with Google’s operating system, Chrome OS, will like it.

Chromebooks continue to gain ground against Windows and macOS laptops. Lenovo has supported them since its launch and has models as interesting as the IdeaPad 5i on the market. Now comes another one in convertible format and with news of interest mainly on its internal hardware.

Lenovo’s convertible mounts a screen 12.22-inch multi-touch IPS diagonal and FHD native resolution for 1920 x 1200 pixels. It has a hinge system that allows it to be rotated up to 360 degrees and thus facilitate its multiple modes of use, from laptop to tablet, through modes for presentations.

As we said, one of the novelties is its hardware base in charge of the Intel N100/N200. They are the new low-voltage processors with which the chip giant is going to retire the Celeron/Pentium. They will be accompanied by 4 or 8 Gbytes of memory and 64 or 128 Gbytes for storage.

It will also release support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 (premiere on Chromebooks) and a set of ports like:

  • 1 x HDMI 1.4
  • 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C
  • 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
  • 1 x 3.5mm audio
  • 1 x microSD card reader

Includes up to 1080p webcam with privacy shutter and microphone mute key, and 2W stereo speakers with MaxxAudio support. Quite light with 1.27 kg of weight and the latest version of Chrome OS, you will also like its price: 350 dollars. It should be available in May 2023.
