Lenovo Unveils New ThinkBook, ThinkCentre and ThinkPad PCs for Business and Professionals at IFA

He did so at the Tech Life event, announcing new additions to its ThinkPad and ThinkBook laptop families, as well as the ThinkCentre M60q Chromebox Enterprise small desktop. (Valium)

Lenovo ThinkBook 16p Gen 3

The new professional laptop Lenovo ThinkBook 16p Gen 3, is intended for creators and professional users who need equipment with power in the creation and management of multimedia content. It integrates a processor that can go up to the AMD Ryzen 9 6000H and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 graphics chip, as well as the Windows 11 operating system.

It incorporates a 16-inch IPS 2.5K screen with Eyesafe and low blue light certificates, which protects the vision of those who use it. In addition, it has an ambient light sensor that adjusts the light of the screen and the backlight of the keyboard depending on the light. It integrates up to 32 GB of dual-channel DDR5 RAM, an SSD with up to 2 TB capacity and a 71Wh battery that provides enough autonomy to last a full day. It is compatible with WiFi 6 and has two USB Type-C ports, in addition to one HDMI 2.1 and two USB-A second generation.

It has an intelligent power button (Smart Power) that is equipped with a fingerprint recognition system, and Dolby Atmos sound. Optionally it can be equipped with a Full HD IR camera. It also includes Artificial Intelligence features already present in other laptops in the ThinkBook range, such as AI Meeting Manager, which among other things can convert text to speech in 14 languages ​​during video conferences. It is already available in several countries for a price that part of the 1,999 euros, VAT apart.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold

Lenovo has also presented the laptop ThinkPad X1 Fold, with which it adds a new model to its category of folding PCs. It is a device with aluminum frames and a rear cover made of recycled fabric. It has a 16.3-inch OLED screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio, and stands out for its thinness, since it is only 17.4 millimeters thick when folded, and 8.6 millimeters when unfolded. As a processor, it carries up to one of the 12th generation Intel Core i7 range, integrated Intel Iris X graphics, up to 32 GB of DDR5 RAM and an SSD with up to 1 TB capacity.

Its operating system can be either Windows 11 Home or Pro, depending on the use that its owner wants to give it. It has, optionally, a full backlit keyboard with TrackPoint and a large haptic touchpad, which works attached or detached from the PC, depending on the mode in which it is used. It can be magnetically attached to the bottom half of the display for use as a classic laptop. The equipment can reach an HDR brightness of up to 600 nits, and is compatible with Dolby Vision.

The different models in which this equipment can be used, managed through the Mode Switcher interface, are the following:

  • Classic laptop, with a 12-inch main screen with an on-screen keyboard in the lower half of the computer, or the optional ThinkPad Bluetooth TrackPoint keyboard.
  • Panoramic mode or “all in one”. The computer can be folded for use in wide mode with stand and the keyboard can be attached, both attached and apart from the stand, to make it a 16-inch computer.
  • Portrait mode (Portrait). It can be put in this mode with its lectern to have a 16-inch screen.
  • Book mode, in which its 16-inch screen folds in half to simulate a book.
  • Tablet mode, which can be put in landscape or portrait format, and used with a touch pen on the screen.

It has three USB Type-C ports and three Dolby Atmos speakers, of which two are always active, as well as two dual microphones. One of them depends on the mode that is in use, and they have Dolby Voice and spatial sound optimization technology. incorporates the Intel Visual Sensing Controller (Intel VSC), a chip with Artificial Intelligence in charge of managing the camera so that it works optimally in any of its modes.

Thanks to this chip, the computer automatically turns on when it recognizes the user designated to unlock the computer with their presence, combined with Windows Hello, for contactless access. Intel VSC also uses smart sensing to optimize display settings by lowering refresh rates based on content. The ThinkPad X1 Fold will be available throughout the last quarter of 2022 for a price starting at $2,499.

Lenovo ThinkCentre M60q Chromebox Enterprise

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M60q Chromebox EnterpriseDesigned for businesses and professionals, it is a desktop computer with a small and slim form factor thanks to its compact 1L chassis. It has ChromeOS operating system and can be installed on the back of monitors, and even mounted on walls.

The equipment carries a processor up to 12th generation Intel Core i5, virtual desktop infrastructure integration and is compatible with WiFi 6E. It has multi-screen support, and can connect to up to four monitors simultaneously. It incorporates various security features, such as Lenovo ThinkShield and the Titan C security chip, designed by Google. Thanks to this, it offers safe browsing, sandboxing, data encryption and verified boot. It will be available from next December from 299 euros, VAT included.
