Microsoft adds more AI features to Microsoft Designer

Launched on October 12 of last year, the truth is that Microsoft Designer has not managed to achieve the degree of visibility of which. in my opinion it is worth it. It’s true that it was released and is still in preview, but this usually doesn’t deter interested people from trying it out. In its first months, it was also necessary to sign up for a waiting list, but for some time now access has been practically immediate, so the waiting periods to try it are no longer a deterrent.

It may have to do, of course, with the fact that its launch took place during the final phase of the boom in image-generating artificial intelligence models, a time when the sheer popularity of top names dwarfed many other services. And, of course, at that time the relationship between Microsoft and artificial intelligence was not remotely as accredited and normalized as it is now, a few months later. And that, although at that time practically nobody gave it too much importance, Microsoft already had a fairly firm bond with OpenAI.

Be that as it may, the launch of Microsoft Designer passed without pain or glory, and something similar happened when access to it was opened, eliminating the waiting list. But perhaps, with its latest movement, in which new and interesting functions related to artificial intelligence are added, we will see its popularity grow. Or, otherwise, Microsoft will still have an extra trump card to achieve this end: integrate it into Bing, as you already did a few weeks ago with the image creator.

Microsoft adds more AI features to Microsoft Designer

In case you don’t know it and you’re wondering, something that is quite probable from what I mentioned earlier, Microsoft Designer is a graphic design web application that helps you create graphic publications of all kinds, in the style of other services like Canva, which it is reminiscent of in more ways than one. Its key point is, without a doubt, the integration of artificial intelligence, which allows you to create complete designs simply from a description.

And it is at this point that find news related to social networksas AI generated hashtags and captions, auto-sizing for 20 different social media platforms and more are now included in auto-creation, making Microsoft Designer a very, very handy tool for both individuals and for professionals (especially for the latter, of course) of communication and social networks.

We’re talking about social media, so impactful images and headlines are very important, but so is text, so Microsoft Designer’s feature update has also brought a generative AI for this feature. In this way, we will only have to write a sentence that captures what we want to express and in a matter of seconds we will obtain text suggestions, from titles to short texts, with suggestions for fonts that match the design.
