Microsoft is not happy with the Xbox situation, does it have reasons for it?

A fairly reliable source ensures that Microsoft is not happy with the situation Xbox is in, a valuation that includes the two consoles that Microsoft currently sells, Series X and Series S, and also the gaming ecosystem in general. The Game Pass service should be left out of the equation, which, in general terms, has been quite successful.

Making a literal translation of the information provided by the source, I can tell you that Microsoft is, supposedly, “annoyed” with the landscape surrounding Xbox, and he has also said that in this sense the downward trend that the sales of its new consoles have been experiencing is very influential, a reality that contrasts with the enormous increase in sales that PS5 has been experiencing. Microsoft itself acknowledged defeat just a couple of months ago.

Personally I think that Microsoft has reasons not to be happy with the situation of Xbox in general, but at the same time I also think that in the end this is a consequence of the mistakes that the Redmond giant has been making. One of the most important is undoubtedly the lack of really interesting exclusives that Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X haveand that Microsoft has very important franchises in its possession.

On the other hand, it is not normal that a console as powerful as Xbox Series X, which exceeds PS5 in power, receive cross-platform versions of games that perform worse than on Sony’s console. The most recent example that I can give you is Resident Evil 4 Remake, but there are many others.

I don’t want to be conspiratorial, but Sony was the first to open “Pandora’s Box” and started talking about possible “broken” versions so that they look and work worse on PS5, a comment that denotes that the Japanese company is familiar for some reason with this type of thing, and that it knows its existence very well. Connect the dots for yourselves.

In the end it gives us the feeling that Microsoft is not playing its cards well with Xbox, and that it has a significant part to blame for the current situation of its consoles. Depending on the source of this information, some users they have even come to regret buying an Xbox consoleand they would be considering selling it to get a PS5.

Microsoft may be waiting to finalize the purchase of Activision Blizzard before focusing on bolstering the Xbox Series X-Series S catalog of exclusives, but even with this in mind I still don’t understand why these consoles haven’t received any generational exclusives yet within beloved franchises like the Gears saga, Fable or even a new Perfect Dark.
