Moonwalkers is born, a new acceleration program for startups in the experiential field

MKTG Spain and the sports and entertainment marketing agency, RPM Sports, in collaboration with the network of coworking spaces with impact Impact Hub Madrid, have launched a Moonwalkers startup incubation and acceleration program. A giant leap for innovation. This platform will help innovative startups in different areas to promote their idea of ​​innovation to grow, be scalable and relevant, and impact the sector for which their venture has focused.

The program is aimed at businesses in the field of creativity and the experiential sector that carry out their activity in areas like the metaverse, artificial intelligence focused on experiential events, event production, fan/consumer engagement, retail experience, sporting events, gaming and museography. The period for submitting applications will be open until September 19.

Among all the projects presented, ten will be shortlisted, which will be evaluated by a jury in charge of selecting, among them, the five final Moonwalkers participants. For four months, the five selected startups will participate in a complete specialized training program in business areas, with individualized counseling sessions and a mentoring program that will take place in the Living Lab of MKTG Spain and RPM Sports in Madrid.

In this way, the participating startups will be given the opportunity to be part of its creative and experiential ecosystem. Likewise, they may become a partner or supplier of both companies, obtain investment and/or participation of the same in its shareholding.

Jesús García, CEO of MKTG Spain and RPM Sports, explained that “the sector demands innovations that respond to the current requirements of a constantly evolving market. With Moonwalkers we want to give the opportunity and support those initiatives that add value, so that they can take that big step that will make them prominent players in our industry. In this way, we also want to reinforce our commitment to innovation, going beyond our own projects”.

For its part, Anthony Gonzalez, CEO of Impact Hub Madrid, has highlighted the firm commitment of Moonwalkers to generate ecosystems and communities, as well as the contribution to entrepreneurship and innovation that the program entails.

Moonwalkers will have a panel of expert trainers, endorsed by their knowledge and professional experience, as well as a team of advisers from MKTG Spain and RPM Sports, great connoisseurs of the sector. Executives from both companies will also offer inspiring talks on highly relevant and current issues, and group workshops will be held to develop managerial and entrepreneurial skills guided by an Impact Hub expert.
