The Dell Latitude 3140 is presented as a new small-sized, low-cost laptop, which is equipped with an Intel Alder Lake-N processor. As I have already mentioned in previous articles, this processor uses the Gracemont architecture, which is also present in the low-power cores of the Core Gen12 and Core Gen13.
At the design level, the Dell Latitude 3140 has a line that denotes, from the beginning, that we are facing an economic team. Its screen borders are quite largeis manufactured in plastic and it has a rounded finish that gives it a more informal touch than what we find in other superior models. We can also see that it has a webcam on the upper edge.
The cheaper Dell Latitude 3140 has a 11.6-inch display with 1,366 x 768 resolution pixels, which means that it is only an option to take into account if we are going to work with one application or one tool at a time, since the workspace offered by that screen is very small both in size and resolution. Its processor is an Intel N100, which has four cores and four threads at 3.4 GHz, has 4GB of LPDDR5 memory at 4,800 MHz and has a 64 GB eMMC storage unit.
As we can see, it is very fair in terms of RAM and storage, especially considering that comes with Windows 11 Home. The front camera is 1 MP, and it has a 41 Wh battery. We can buy it in a higher version that includes an Intel N200 CPU, 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD. Regarding connectivity, all versions include a network card with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5 support, have HDMI 1.4 output, USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A and USB Type-C connector, and also come with a 3.5mm jack. The base model weighs 1.35 kilograms, and is priced at $339.
Dell has also confirmed a convertible version that includes a touch screen that can rotate 360 degrees, and features a 5 MP rear camera, plus stylus support. We still do not know the price for Spain.
