New NVIDIA Studio laptops with GeForce RTX 40

NVIDIA Studio laptops with GeForce RTX 40 Mobile graphics cards are already a reality. They were announced during CES last January, but their official launch did not take place until the beginning of February, and at the moment the availability is limited to equipment based on the GeForce RTX 4080 and GeForce RTX 4090 Mobile. More economical teams with inferior series will arrive later.

These laptops have a full integration with NVIDIA Studio drivers which, as we have told you on previous occasions, are optimized to improve performance by working with numerous professional applications, and allow us to access various improvements and enjoy exclusive technologies and advances.

The GeForce RTX 40 Mobile uses the new architecture Ada Lovelace and they’re built on TSMC’s 5nm node, which means they’re not only much more powerful than the previous generation, but also they are more efficient and offer excellent performance per watt. According to NVIDIA, they are up to three times more efficient than the previous generation, and have specialized next-generation hardware.

This new generation of NVIDIA graphics mounts 3rd generation RT coreswhich speed up and improve performance when working with ray tracing, and have fourth generation tensor cores, which are much more powerful than those of the previous generation. They are also compatible with the new DLSS 3which introduces frame generation, a technology that allows the GPU to independently generate one frame for every two traditionally rendered frames.

These new notebooks also use other state-of-the-art components, such as Intel Core Gen13 processors and DDR5 memory, and are integrated into a wide variety of form factors, something important since it means that we can find powerful but light configurations. As we told you at the beginning of this article, more affordable computers configured with GeForce RTX 4070 Mobile, RTX 4060 Mobile and RTX 4050 Mobile will be arriving in the coming months.
