NVIDIA Launches 8GB T1000, an Entry-Level Professional Graphics Solution

The green giant has launched the NVIDIA T1000, an entry-level professional graphics card with which the company wants to reach those professionals who need an affordable dedicated graphics solutioncompatible with key NVIDIA technologies and certified to work with the main applications in the sector without stability or support problems.

The NVIDIA T1000 uses the TU117 graphics core, which means that it is based on the Turing architecture, and its graphics core is manufactured on a 12nm process. This model has 896 shaders, a figure that places it at the level of the GTX 1650. Like this, it has 56 texturing units, 32 raster units and a total of 14 active SM units. Its memory bus is 128 bits, and it comes with 8GB of GDDR6 memory.

Your TGP (total consumption) is 50 watts, which means that it does not need an additional power connector (it gets all the power it needs from the PCIE connector), and that it generates hardly any heat. This, together with its compact and low profile design, makes it a very interesting solution for those who want to integrate it into a compact team.

In terms of power, the NVIDIA T1000 reaches a peak of 2.5 TFLOPs in FP32, and is prepared to offer good performance with editing tasks, and also with CAD and CAM applications that are not too demanding. One of its most interesting keys, if we look beyond its consumption-performance ratio, is its support for up to four 4K displays at 60 Hz, or two 8K screens. This makes the NVIDIA T1000 an attractive option for digital signage as well.

The NVIDIA T1000 was announced a long time ago, but its availability was practically non-existent, so we can say that its real launch has taken place recently, and that what we saw a few months ago was more of a presentation. As expected, as it is a certified professional graphic solution, its price is high. I have seen it in Spain hovering around 400 euros, but it may adjust a little downward in the coming weeks. Along with the 8 GB version there is a 4 GB variant that is slightly more affordable.
