The Expensya firm held its 1st Forum in Madrid on Tuesday, November 23, an important event that had the participation of Forum Business Travel, and whose objective was exchange experiences and offer a complete vision of the most important challenges facing companies today. Among those attending the event were such important companies as Ayming, Uber para Empresas, Bureau Veritas and ONCE.
There is no doubt that, with the onset of the pandemic, digitization has become increasingly important, becoming a key element for companies. Without an adequate digitization process, these cannot remain competitive, and to face the current situation, it is essential to have easy-to-integrate tools that streamline internal processes, and do so. optimally and simply. Only in this way, it is possible to save time and reduce costs.
In this sense, Expensya showed, in its roadmap for 2022, its main innovations in the field of Artificial Intelligence, employee mobility and accessibility, and shared some of the most important keys in everything related to the Expense management, its challenges and its opportunities.
OCR + Technology against fraud in companies she was one of the main protagonists of the event. According to the ACFE (Association of Certified Fraud Examiners of Spain), Spanish companies lose approximately 730,000 euros a year in unjustified expenses of their own employees. This brings with it imbalances in the control of internal expenses and an environment of mistrust in the workplace.

Thanks to this technology, when a user takes a photograph of a ticket or invoice, up to 95% of the information in the document can be recovered. This allows, among other things, to take into account the reimbursement policy of the company (for example, based on spending limits and schedules) to generate alerts and also give notice of a duplicate or manipulated document. The ultimate goal of Expensya is to be able to support each person involved in the expense management process ”.
But this is not all, Expensya integrates several of the most important players in the ecosystem of business expense management (ERP, Travel agencies, Banks, Tax companies, etc.), which allows you to help financial departments to have a global vision of the disbursements made by their collaborators.
On the other hand, it also offers certified digitization for companies, thanks to the conclusion of its homologation with the State Tax Administration Agency (AEAT), which allows, from now on, all those involved in the payment management process to quickly identify if the supporting documents uploaded to the system (both with a photograph from the application and those scanned) have legal value.
