Pau Pavón was the only one of the finalists who could not be there in person and intervened electronically in the final held on February 23 in Madrid. The winning project presented by Pau Pavón is examfy, a tool for teachers which allows them, thanks to optical character recognition and Artificial Intelligence, to speed up two of the most monotonous, repetitive and heavy tasks of the correction process: on the one hand, the registration and upload of grades, and, on the other, the preservation of exams.

Once they scan each exam with their mobile, Examfy analyzes and orders them by name and grade, and allows notes to be published or shared with students or their parents.. Examfy has already won different awards such as the European Wise 20 Under 20 for the best education startup in 2022.

Notably, of the six GSEA finalists, three belonged to the LEINN Grade from Mondragón University and TeamLabs, its radical learning laboratory in Barcelona, ​​Madrid and Malaga. In addition to Pau Pavón, Otto Desmons, with the project Flyout, from LEINN Barcelona, ​​and Nicolás Cañizares, with his project Papyro, from LEINN Madrid, were classified.

The Global Students Entrepreneurs Awards are the world’s largest competition for university entrepreneurs organized by the Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO), an international entity of entrepreneurs with more than 12,000 members worldwide. In this edition, there were two winners. In addition to Pau Pavon, was also awarded entrepreneur Álex Sánchez, from the Carlos III University of Madrid, for his Unigow project.

LEINN degree
