Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is the latest installment of the well-known Activision Blizzard franchise. In general terms It has received quite good reviews from the media.and its sales are also bordering on a high level, something that was very important for the company, since the sales of Call of Duty Vanguard did not meet their expectations.
Regardless, it seems that Activision Blizzard is looking for new ways to boost sales of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, and their latest occurrence has been to offer a free trial period from today, December 15, until December 19. In total we can play it for four days, although we must bear in mind that there will be a series of important limitations:
- Only multiplayer mode will be available.
- We will have access to three maps: boarding, farm 18 and the asylum.
- We can play in four different modes: domain, confirmed kill, hot spot and team deathmatch.
- We will have the possibility to play in first and third person.
Once the trial period is over, Activision Blizzard hopes that players will be encouraged to buy the full version of the game, which is priced at 69.99 euros on Steam. As we have said, the evaluations that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 has received from the media have been good, but users are divided. On Steam we can see that the game has received more than 200,000 reviews, and that these show “varied” opinions.
If you were thinking of buying it but had doubts, this is a good opportunity to try it and make a decision. In my case, it’s been a while since I stopped feeling attracted to the franchise, in fact I would dare to say that the last installment that I really enjoyed was Call of Duty 3 on Xbox 360. All in all, I know that the saga is having a lot of traction, and that’s why I wanted to share this news with you.
I take this opportunity to remind you that Activision Blizzard will not launch a new title in 2023, and that it will fill the gap with the second season of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, so this game will be the only option until 2024, date on which we will see the arrival of the first exclusive installment of the current generation of consoles, and which will put an end to the intergenerational versions (it will not reach Xbox One or PS4).
