Play some great Capcom classics online for free

Mentioning, in the same sentence, the words “game” and “free” is something that is not usually liked in the video game industry. However, Capcom seems to have decided to make an exception.. An exception that will be welcomed with open arms, especially by the most nostalgic, and that we hope will keep its doors open for a long time, although it is true that its existence is due to the fact that, on these dates, the legendary Japanese studio celebrates its fortieth years of life.

On the occasion of this celebration, the company has created Capcom Town, an online villa in which he opens the doors to his history, starring some of his great classics. Thus, if you access this digital museum, you will find spaces dedicated to Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Mega Man, Devil May Cry and others. In each of them you will find a selection of images, videos, sounds and, in some cases, also original documents from their design phases.

In the upper part of the museum room you will also find the History section, in which, as you will have already deduced from its name, you will find an interesting review of the four decades from Capcom. For its part, Anniversary Artwork shows us an image (yes, unfortunately only one, perhaps they should have stretched a little more at this point), with some of the most notable characters from the company’s games. And if you access the Exhibits section, you will find a lot of documentation about the recently released Street Fighter 6.

  • Mega Man X
  • Street Fighter II

Of the five titles, in addition, also you will be able to see the original manual, as well as the image of the cartridge of NES or SNES, the one corresponding to the platform for which each title was published.

The p gamesThey allow you to choose between one or two players and, for control, we can choose between keyboard and gamepad. For both cases, you can access the help tab to find out how the controls are mapped.
