Possible Starfield requirements: minimum, recommended, optimal and release date

Microsoft and Bethesda they haven’t confirmed yet the requirements of Starfield, one of the most anticipated games of the moment and without a doubt one of the great engines of Xbox Series X and Series S, since it will be exclusive to said consoles and PC. However, this data already gives us very valuable information that allows us to make a well-founded estimate of your possible requirements.

We also know that Starfield is going to be built on the Graphics engine Creation Engine 2which is an update of the Creation Engine, the graphics engine that was used in Fallout 4 and Fallout 76. This new graphics engine will also power other highly anticipated games like Fallout 5 and The Elder Scrolls VI, so it’s likely that they all share very similar requirements.

Starfield’s technical base will be Xbox Series Sa console that has 10 GB of unified memory, of which 8 remain free for games, and has a trimmed Zen 2 CPU and a Radeon RDNA2 GPU with 1,280 shaders without infinite cache and with fairly tight frequencies, which makes It doesn’t quite match up to a Radeon RX 6500 XT in raw power, so it’s clear that Starfield’s requirements are going to be quite reasonable.

Possible Starfield Requirements

Minimum requirements

  • Windows 10 as the operating system.
  • Intel Core i7-4770K or Ryzen 5 1500X CPU (four cores and eight threads).
  • 8 GB of RAM.
  • Radeon RX 570 or GeForce GTX 970 graphics card.
  • 90 GB of free space.

With this configuration the game should work in 1080p and low quality, or maybe low-medium, with an acceptable frame rate per second (between 30 and 40 FPS, probably).

recommended requirements

  • Windows 10 as the operating system.
  • Intel Core i7-8700K or Ryzen 5 3600 CPU (six cores and twelve threads).
  • 16GB of RAM.
  • Radeon RX 6600 or GeForce RTX 2070 graphics card.
  • 90 GB of free space.

If we meet these requirements, it is most likely that we can move the game in 1080p resolution and maximum quality with total fluency, or in 1440p with fluency by adjusting graphic quality. Everything will depend on how optimized it is.

optimal requirements

  • Windows 10 as the operating system.
  • Intel Core i5-12400 or Ryzen 5 5600 CPU (six cores and twelve threads).
  • 16GB of RAM.
  • Radeon RX 6800 or GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics card.
  • 90 GB of free space.

This configuration should be enough to be able to play it on 1440p with maximum quality and total fluidityand also to get to 4K adjusting graphic quality so as not to have fluidity problems, although again everything will depend on how optimized the game is.

The launch of Starfield will take place on September 6, and as many of our readers will know, it is shaping up to be a futuristic action role-playing title focused on interplanetary exploration, and the truth is that it has details that remind me a lot of Fallout.
