Purebred livestock will have institutional support in foreign markets

ICEX EspaƱa ExportaciĆ³n e Inversiones and the Royal Spanish Federation of Select Livestock Associations (RFEAGAS) have signed an agreement to reinforce the promotional and commercial activity of the purebred livestock sector in foreign markets. All this through the organization of reverse missions of buyers and opinion prescribers, under the protection of the most representative Spanish fairs in the sector.

The agreement, which has a budget of 39,000 euros and a validity period of 18 months, establishes a collaboration framework in the organization of trips to Spain. The objective is for buyers and opinion leaders to learn first-hand about the characteristics of the Spanish offer in the livestock sector and establish close contact with Spanish companies interested in their countries of origin as the target market.

Thus, the missions will be carried out within the framework of these events: the International Fair for Animal Production (FIGAN), which is held in Zaragoza from March 28 to 31; the ICAR conference, in Toledo from May 21 to 26; and the International Purebred Spanish Horse Show (SICAB)in Seville from November 28 to December 3.

All the missions will be made up of opinion prescribers from Europe, North Africa and Central Asia in the case of FIGAN, and from Europe, New Zealand, United States and China for ICAR. In the context of SICAB, opinion makers will also be joined by buyers from the livestock sector from the United States and Europe.

The Economic and Commercial Offices of Spain abroad select in a personalized way the foreign participants in the missions, who will have an immersive program of direct contact with the Spanish offer in the sector. Thus, a plan of visits and interviews designed by RFEAGAS is contemplated, as well as parallel activities that will dimension the Spanish offer in the sector, also very focused on promoting the foreign promotion of Spanish genetics of select breeds of cattle.
