Salesforce Brings Generative AI to the Enterprise with AI Cloud

salesforce will take the integration of Artificial Intelligence into its products even further with the launch of the AI Cloud suitewhich will include tools designed to deliver AI functions and services ready for use in the business world. Particularly in the big ones.

AI Cloud hosts and delivers AI models on the Salesforce cloud infrastructure. Especially text generation models, from various partners of the company. Among them, from AWS, Anthropic, Cohere and OpenAI. Its own models are also available through Salesforce’s AI research division, and provide, among other things, the ability to generate code and automate business processes. Customers can also, if they wish, bring their own custom trained model to the platform, while storing data in their infrastructure.

The models developed by Salesforce that will be available with AI Cloud give more power to the main products of the company. Among them, Data Cloud, Tableau, Flow and MuleSoft. In total, there are nine models: Sales GPT, Service GPT, Marketing GPT, Commerce GPT, Slack GPT, Tableau GPT, Flow GPT and Apex GPT.

The former can automatically compose personalized email messages, while the latter can compose service reports, case summaries, and work orders; based on case data and client history.

As for Marketing GPT and Commerce GPT, they are capable of generating audience segments to target, and customizing product descriptions for each buyer based on their customer data. They can also offer recommendations to businesses so that, for example, they can increase their sales volumes, or their average value.

Slack GPT and Flow GPT allow users to create workflows that integrate AI actions without the need to write code. Both in Slack and Flow. For its part, Tableau GPT can generate visualizations based on requests made using natural language and information from company data. Apex GPT, meanwhile, can scan code for vulnerabilities and suggest suitable code for Apex, Salesforce’s own programming language.

Several of these models are available today, such as Slack GPT, Commerce GPT, Sales GPT, and Service GPT. The rest, with the exception of Flow GPT, which is coming in October, will be available before the end of this month.

In addition, integrated into the AI cloud will be Einstein, a specific AI for CRM, which will help companies to be more productive and efficient in sales, services and marketing. The Einstein GPT Trust Layer, meanwhile, will help prevent large language models from stealing sensitive customer data.

This separation of important data from models will help customers maintain control of data governance, while harnessing the power of generative AI. In addition, users using third-party models an AI Cloud will also be able to use Einstein Trust Layer. Einstein Trust Layer will be available from this June, while AI Cloud as such will be launched throughout this year 2023.
