Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra aims to have Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 16GB of RAM

Despite not living its golden age for a long time, tablets still exist. In addition to an iPad that has positioned itself as the benchmark in the sector, there could be the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultrathat if the rumors come true, it would have characteristics worthy of a high-end device within its segment, thus following the line marked by previous generations of the device.

The well-known Ice Universe leaker has published what would become the main characteristics of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, covering the dimensions of the device, its weight, the battery, the screen resolution, the battery, the amount of RAM memory and the processor. Regarding the dimensions, it is assumed that the future tablet will maintain the same as those of the previous generation, which are of 208.6 x 326.4 x 5.5 millimeters. The weight, for its part, aims to be about 737 grams.

The screen, of 14.6 incheswould support a native resolution of 2,960×1,848 pixels (WQXGA+). The high resolution suggests that the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will incorporate a powerful SoC, and this could be the case if we see that the model mentioned by Ice Universe is the well-known Snapdragon 8 Gen 2Qualcomm’s current top-of-the-line processor.

The amount of RAM of the reference model (do not close the door to variants) could be of 16GB and LPDDR5X typeTherefore, if the rumors come true, we would be facing a device that would not only be able to perform entertainment tasks in a very ample way, but also execute many heavy tasks, including locally installed video games.

The last alleged feature mentioned by Ice Universe is the 11,200mAh battery. It is important to take all this data with caution because it has not been officially announced, despite the fact that it comes from a leaker that is generally quite reliable. The amount of data storage has remained up in the air, which should be up to the profile of the device both for a matter of range and to be able to perform all the tasks that it is expected to do.

In addition to Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, OnePlus also showed its cards last February with a tablet that will use a Dimensity 9000 SoC, 12GB of RAM and a resolution of 2,800×2,000 pixels. Tablets sank at the time because they were too big to compete with mobile phones and too limited compared to an x86 PC, but improved performance on ARM architecture devices could open the door to their real resurrection. .
