The UK, Germany, Ireland, Austria and Switzerland will be among the first markets to stream Discovery on Paramount + of the more than 20 countries where the platform is available outside of North America.

Kelly Day, executive of ViacomCBS Networks, said:

As we rapidly expand our footprint in global streaming, we are bringing our best titles home to ViacomCBS for Paramount + markets around the world. We have a strong global and local content network that positions us for success in our regions, and the return of beloved series like Star Trek: Discovery for Paramount + is another step forward as we bring more series fans to watch around the world.

At the moment it is therefore clear what the future of the series will be in Italy, while the older series continue to be available on Netflix and Star Trek Picard and Star Trek Lower Decks are broadcast by us exclusively on Amazon Prime Video.
