T-Systems reinforces its position in Spain, opening new offices in Barcelona

The German multinational computer and consulting services founded in October 2000 and belonging to the German group Deutsche Telekom, T-Systems continues to strengthen its confidence in Spain and opens new offices in Barcelona, ​​which will remain in the 22nd district of the capital.

There will be 7,500 square meters where its more than 1,000 employees will work on different cybersecurity, big data and artificial intelligence projects, among others. Projects that have placed T-Systems throughout these decades in a whole benchmark in technological development also in southern Europe.

But these will not be the only areas in which the company will work at its new Catalan headquarters. It will also advance with clients and projects on topics such as business cloud, technology infrastructure and, in general, the digitization of companies and public administration.

The truth is that, unlike other technology companies that have laid off part of their brute force in recent months after the hiring boom in the pandemic, T-Systems has not stopped growing, Spain being an essential market for it.

In 2022, it made great progress in its growth strategy in the country with 900 new jobs. At the same time, the number of digitization projects for the public and private sectors increased with rates close to double digits.

In fact, they have been built using materials with a low environmental impact, thanks to a design that reduces CO² emissions by more than 10%. It also integrates 574.4 m² of green areas, thereby reducing energy consumption by 32%.

The new offices help reduce water consumption by more than 50%, and promote sustainable mobility through 65 places for electric vehicles. New facilities that already have AAA energy certification and LEED Platinum certifications for their sustainability.

Another of its innovations is that this new location provides work environments that enhance the health and well-being of people, since it has the WELL Gold certification, awarded by the International WELL Building Institute. A distinction that highlights the buildings that promote the health and well-being of people by betting on more productive spaces through the application of the WELL methodology.
