Realme will unveil its new high-end smartphone, the Realme GT 2 Pro, on January 4. Before the launch, the Chinese manufacturer has already confirmed most of the technical characteristics of its device.
Realme announced on social media that its new Realme GT 2 Pro will be equipped with a 6.78 inch flat screen 2k (3216 x 1440 pixels). The latter will use the LTPO technology 2.0, which will allow it to vary its refresh rate from 1 Hz to 120 Hz depending on the content displayed. Several high-end smartphones from 2022 will also offer the same technology, including the OnePlus 10 Pro which will also arrive on January 4.
Realme has also confirmed that it will be an AMOLED E4 panel, while the Xiaomi 12 Pro will offer AMOLED E5 technology, which is more energy efficient. The screen of the Realme GT 2 Pro is HDR10 + certified, offers a maximum brightness of over 1000 nits. In addition, it will be protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, like most of its competitors in the high-end segment.
What technical characteristics for the Realme GT 2 Pro?
The Realme GT 2 Pro will be powered by the new Qualcomm’s high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. The device would be powered by a 5000 mAh battery, and this would be compatible with the 65 W wired fast charging. That’s less than the OPPO Find X4 Pro or the OnePlus 10 Pro, since these will both use 80W wired fast charging.
On the photo side, we will find a 50 MP main sensor IMX766, the same as that of the OPPO Find X3 Pro, a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor as well as a third 2 MP sensor. The selfie part will be provided by a 32 MP sensor.
The Realme GT 2 Pro will be officially presented on January 4th in China, the same day as the OnePlus 10 Pro. It is known that Realme will also be working on another version of the smartphone with a camera under the screen, but it could not be revealed at the same time. The smartphone should arrive in Europe in the first quarter of 2022. In the meantime, we can discover the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro from tomorrow, Tuesday, December 28.
