Volkswagen is preparing to formalize the second iteration of its 100% electric compact city car, the ID.3. The Wolfsburg manufacturer reveals some elements, including new headlights and a reworked grille in a video posted on Twitter.

The ID.3 is based on the MEB (Modular Electric Matrix) platform, which in the brand’s own words “entails fundamental changes in the design of the body, the interior layout, the package and the characteristics of the electric Volkswagen powertrain. If the current autonomy of the ID.3 extends from 350 km to 550 km, depending on the configurations, the next evolution of the MEB platform should make it possible to travel an additional 150 kilometers on a single chargewhich charging powers ranging from 175 to 200 kW.

The ID.3 will feature a further refined design, but it is on the visible quality that Volkswagen seems to have worked the most.
